Sun, sand, drinks, great people and beautiful Costa Rica – what more could a photographer ask for in the Middle of winter. One of the biggest downsides to a destination wedding is the amount of people that can intrude on the ceremony (and the photos). Emily and Harrison decided to remove this possibility by hosting their ceremony and reception at a private beach club in a nearby town. The incredible venue, a gorgeous sunset, fireworks and fire dancers made this one of the most incredible weddings we have had the opportunity to attend ever! Hope you enjoy the photos as much as we did.
Jessica has known Emily & Harrison for many years – of course we said yes when they asked us to shoot their engagement photos in high park to showcase the cherry blossoms. We were even more thrilled when they said they were having a destination wedding next January! After waiting on the weather and trying to avoid the crowds in high park, we aimed for an early morning and couldn’t be happier with how the day turned out. We hope you enjoy their beautiful photos!
Whenever I meet with potential couples who might want to book me, I almost always tell them that I look for people to work with who are like me – fun, laid-back and easy to get along with. After meeting Jenny and Cassidy in their home in Whitby, I knew these two were a couple I would love to shoot! I hope you enjoy the photos from their engagement session when there was still snow on the ground
Thanks for taking the time to look through Jenny and Cassidy’s engagement session! Jessica and I had the best time with these two… can’t wait for their wedding
Heather and Norm are simply amazing people. So glad I got to spend time with them during our engagement shoot earlier this year. They are hilarious, beautiful, wonderful, kind and truly astounding people. I wish them all the best in their years to come!
Many thanks to my second shooter Alec who took all the photos of the boys getting ready in this post!
Mmmm candy bar!
Great idea – spin the wheel for a chance to get the bride and groom to kiss. There were also other categories – gonna get lei’ed, take a shot, table shots, feeling horny and dance!
I can’t thank Heather and Norm enough for including me in their special day. You both deserve the world.
Thanks for reading!

Till next time,
Just a quick post showing some of the photos from my first wedding photobooth set up earlier this summer at Anju and Nimod’s wedding (post coming soon). We had a great time, got some great shots and look forward to setting it up again in a couple weeks!
I used two flashes with shoot through umbrellas, both at 45 degrees to the participants and a plain white backdrop that I picked up at a fabric store. Pretty basic set up! I may have to turn this into a regular offering
